Sometimes we have to wait for a booking confirmation to rent a car about the availability of the vehicle. If this happens we will notify you immediately. As soon as the car rental company confirms your vehicle, we will notify you.
You can “cancel” the payment at any time until your vehicle is confirmed. Simply select “Reservation Management” at the top of our page, enter the email address you entered when making the reservation and the reservation number, and then click “Cancel Reservation”. We will unblock the money on your card.
It is very rare for a car rental company to be unable to confirm the availability of a vehicle. If this happens, we will notify you and your reservation will be canceled.
When you book a vehicle or other product on our website, we will send you an email to confirm its availability within 48 hours of booking (or, if earlier, at least 24 hours before the vehicle is picked up). We will then send you a booking confirmation.
You will not receive a contract until we confirm your reservation and receive a rental payment guarantee. Correspondence will be sent in full to the address entered when making the reservation. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these provisions entitles any third party to any benefit.

We do not take responsibility for anyone who drives under the influence of alcohol / drugs, recklessly causes damage, drives off the intended road or drives without due care. You are obliged to take full responsibility in the event of such damage.

Most car rental companies require a deposit at the start of the rental to cover additional obligations, any costs incurred during the rental and, in some cases, fuel costs. To pay the deposit, you usually need to have a valid credit card with available funds or unless otherwise agreed in the contract with the company. Please note that not all car rental companies accept all types of cards and you should therefore read the “Important Information” section when making a reservation and / or concluding a car rental agreement to confirm which types of payments are accepted. Provided that the vehicle and additional products are returned in the same condition as when they were rented and in accordance with the fuel rules, the deposit will be refunded after returning the vehicle (if your money is blocked from your credit card, please note that the money will appear in your credit card account within 30 days).
Certain car rental companies require you to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel it contained in the tank upon collection. Other companies have fuel rules that require you to refuel the tank for the first time and return the vehicle with an empty fuel tank; in which case you may not get a refund for unused fuel.
If a car rental company charges for fuel, the cost may be higher than it would be at a local gas station.
At most locations at airports, services are provided in accordance with the scheduled flight schedule and vehicles are issued outside normal business hours. However, for this service it is possible to charge additional fees that are paid directly to the car rental company. We will let you know if this fee applies when you confirm the pick-up time in your booking request. If the time of taking over the vehicle outside the normal working hours of the car rental company due to the flight delay, the car rental company may agree to provide services outside the working hours; in which case they will notify you of the payment of any fee. We do not accept any further liability if the provision of services outside working hours is not available. Rental offices located outside the airport may also provide services outside of business hours.
The minimum age for renting a car in most locations is 21 years. In some car rental companies and in certain countries it is possible to charge additional fees for drivers under 25 years of age or over 65 years of age: if you enter the correct age of the driver in the booking request, we will inform you of any possible fees. Calculation of daily price / rental period / rental extension period / late return of the vehicle
The price of your car rental will be confirmed at the time of booking and will be calculated based on 24-hour units. If you wish to extend the rental period after picking up the vehicle or if you return the vehicle after the time specified on your voucher / electronic voucher, a contract for such extension is always concluded directly with the rental company and the rental company charges additional rental time according to the local daily price. may be higher than the price you agreed with us when making the reservation. The car rental company may charge an additional fine for late return of the vehicle, and information on any additional fees can be found in your contract with the car rental company.
Your rental starts and ends according to the dates and times of pick-up and return of the vehicle listed on your voucher / electronic voucher. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a refund for unused time in the event of a late pick-up or early return of the vehicle. If you are not able to pick up the vehicle at the agreed time and on the agreed date, it is crucial that you contact us as soon as possible. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee that the vehicle will continue to be available – and you will not be entitled to a refund.
One-way rental needs to be confirmed in advance and may be subject to one-way rental fees paid to the car rental company. We will notify you of the approximate amount of costs after we receive your booking request and one-way rental confirmation from the car rental company.
Child seats, roof racks (not available on some vehicles) and other “extra” items are available on request at most locations although their availability cannot be guaranteed. There is usually a fee paid to the car rental company. In most locations, child seats are required by law. Please note: rear seat belts may not be supplied in all vehicles. You can check this in our contact center. Requests for these items must be submitted when making a reservation.
Some car rental companies agree that they deliver / pick up your vehicle at a specific address. In this case, it is possible to charge an additional fee for this service, which is paid directly to the car rental company. We will inform you whether the fee will apply when you confirm the time of collection / return of the vehicle and the full address in your reservation request. Please note: car rental companies do not usually make deliveries and pick-ups at a private accommodation location.
If you drive a rented vehicle to another state / federal state / to another island, restrictions may apply; therefore you must inform our contact center of your intention to do so. Additional documentation may be required for travel to certain countries and additional local fees may be charged.
The cancellation policy below will apply to your booking in most cases; however, you should check the terms and conditions of car rental companies in the case of more restrictive rules.
If you cancel the rental 48 or more hours before the agreed start of the rental, the refund you paid will be refunded.
If you cancel within 48 hours before the time of picking up the vehicle, the refund you paid will be refunded, but the amount will be reduced by the price of 3 days of car rental:
if you have booked the vehicle for less than 3 days, no additional fee will be charged, but you will not receive a refund.
If you do not show up on the agreed date and time and / or if you do not provide all the necessary documentation and / or if you do not provide a credit card owned by the main driver and on which sufficient funds are available to pay the vehicle deposit, the car rental company may refuse to rent you a vehicle. In that case:
if you call us from the branch, you will receive a refund, but the amount will be reduced by the price of 3 days of rent
if you do not call us from the branch you will not receive a refund.
If you cancel the rental 48 or more hours before the agreed start of the rental, the refund you paid will be refunded, but the amount will be reduced by the value of the deposit.
If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance, but before the agreed start of the rental, the refund you paid will be refunded, but the amount will be reduced either by the value of the deposit or by the price of 3 days of rental, whichever is greater.
If you have booked the vehicle for less than 3 days, no additional fee will be charged, but you will not receive a refund.
The term “non-appearance” refers to a situation where:
you want to cancel, but do not inform us before the agreed start of the lease, or
you do not pick up the vehicle at the agreed time or on the agreed date, or
do not provide the documentation required to pick up the vehicle, or
do not provide cash or a credit card owned by the principal driver and on which sufficient funds are available to pay the vehicle deposit.
In any case of “non-appearance”, you will not receive a refund of the money you paid.

In such a case, unless the rental is canceled in advance, the buyer is not entitled to a refund.
You can make changes to your reservation at any time before the agreed pick-up time.
If there are at least 48 hours left until the vehicle is picked up, the easiest way is to open “Reservation Management” in the upper right corner at the top of our page.
If you want to make a change at a time when there are less than 48 hours left until the time of picking up the vehicle, contact us by phone.
There is no charge for changing a reservation, but any changes you make may affect the rental price. Sometimes (not often) we can change a reservation just by first canceling it and then making a new one; in that case it is possible to charge a cancellation fee on behalf of the car rental company.
From time to time it is necessary for us or the car rental company to make changes to your reservation (after accepting the reservation). In any such case, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible before you pick up the vehicle and, if the proposed changes are unacceptable to you, we will offer you a full refund. However, in these circumstances, we do not bear any additional responsibility for any direct or indirect losses you may suffer as a result of such changes.
Your voucher / electronic voucher usually becomes available when the car rental company receives the full amount of the payment and confirms the availability of the vehicle. Please note that confirmation of the availability of certain vehicles “on request” may take longer, in which case we will notify you. When the collection of the vehicle is not possible due to insufficient documentation or failure to provide a valid credit card, such a situation is considered “non-appearance”, which means that you will not be entitled to a refund of the money you paid. Make sure you have a voucher / electronic voucher, a valid state driver's license and other identification documents with you during the trip – after confirming the availability of the vehicle, read the “What to bring” section in your voucher / electronic voucher to check if any other documentation.
Every driver should have a regular, valid driver’s license that he has held for at least 1 year. Expired or temporary driver's licenses are not accepted.
When booking a vehicle, it is necessary to inform our contact center about any negative violation points on the driver's license; we reserve the right to refuse a reservation on this basis in accordance with the terms and conditions of the car rental company with which we cooperate.
Each driver with a driver's license in the new format of the photo identification document must also provide the appropriate paper version of the document at the car rental office.
When taking over the vehicle, each driver should present his driver's license. In addition, he must have a driver's license with him at all times during the rental period for inspections carried out by local authorities.
No refund will be made if the car rental company refuses to deliver the vehicle due to unreported negative misdemeanor points – or because you are unable to provide a driver’s license, its equivalent document or the necessary information on negative misdemeanor points.
Keep in mind that you may need an international driver’s license to drive abroad. The driver is obliged to check whether he / she needs an international driver's license. An international driver's license does not replace the application for a normal driving license: a driver's license owned by the main driver is still required to rent a vehicle and every driver who needs to have an international driver's license must have both documents with him at all times. If an international driver's license is required, you will not be able to pick up a rented vehicle without an international driver's license and your usual driver's license.
All drivers must read the terms and conditions of the vehicle rental company that delivers the vehicle to them before picking up the vehicle as certain companies and locations may have additional requirements.
Important information on exchange rates
Please note that due to exchange rate fluctuations, the amount charged on your credit card may differ from the price we charge when you agree to pay for a product or service. The difference (if any) will depend on changes in exchange rates during the period between the time of booking and the time the amount charged becomes visible on your credit card statement. Similarly, if we refund your account, we will pay you the exact amount originally charged – and we will not be responsible for any exchange rate fluctuations that cause you to receive a higher or lower refund amount than you expected.
All vehicles are insured for the maximum number of passengers. We cannot accept responsibility if the vehicle is unsuitable for all passengers and luggage. For information on the approximate capacity of the different vehicle classes, visit the Carsreservation.com website, which can serve as a guide. We cannot accept responsibility if the car rental company refuses to deliver the vehicle due to too many passengers.
We cannot guarantee a specific make or model of vehicle. The vehicle shown on your voucher / electronic voucher is intended solely as a guideline and the car rental company may instead deliver a different vehicle that is considered similar or superior.
car rental companies reserve the right to refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is considered unfit to drive or who does not qualify for eligibility. We take no responsibility for making travel arrangements as well as for any refund, indemnity or any costs you may have to pay in such a case.
If you are dissatisfied with your rental, report your dissatisfaction to us as soon as possible, but at least within 3 months of returning the vehicle, by contacting our customer service. It is difficult for us to make an assessment of any complaint relating to your rental if you do not take this action during the return of the vehicle. Although you enter into a contractual relationship with a car rental company when renting a car, whenever difficulties arise we will try to help you by contacting a car rental company on your behalf.
If you are not completely satisfied with the way we handled your complaint, you can file a formal complaint.
In the event of a breakdown or technical difficulties, you must call the car rental company immediately. The car rental company must give approval to repair or replace the vehicle. If you are involved in an accident you need to contact the local police and car rental company. Keep copies of all related documentation you have completed. It may be needed if you want to file a claim for damages.
Your rental of any vehicle is subject to the terms and conditions of the rental of the vehicle as determined by the rental company and the applicable laws of the state and / or federal state in which the rental in question is made. We are not solely or indirectly liable through the car rental company for any unsuccessful or delayed fulfillment of our obligations stated or in accordance with the subject reservation, voucher / electronic voucher, rental or terms and conditions, if and to the extent that this fulfillment is delayed, hindered. or prevented by force majeure, which is a name referring to any event beyond the reasonable control of the person concerned. In the event that the customer has made a fully prepaid reservation and we provide him / her with a notice up to 48 hours before taking over the vehicle, the customer will receive a refund of all prepaid amounts.
